Holes were not drilled correctly for bolts. The hardware was missing and we had to go to the hardware store to replace all the hardwareI've gotten bunkbeds in this price range before, and I guess I just expected more. The BadFor one, it's not super sturdy, and is very squeaky. The holes for some parts were not lined up correctly, and some holes not drilled correctly. This caused some screws to become stripped. We ended up needing additional hardware to make it sturdier so we would feel comfortable putting our kids in it.The GoodIt looks nice. All the pieces were there. The instructions were easy to follow. It arrived in a timely manner. It will do, since we already bought it and fixed it, but I wouldn't buy it again.Very easy to assemble! I got this for my two boys when their previous bunk bed broke after 4 years. I don’t think this will last that long but if you have smaller children I’m sure it will last a good while given they do not horseplay on it :)Started falling apart a few months after purchase and here we are just 18 later and I have to buy new beds for my kids.Arrived a little later than expected but we are in Alaska so understandable. Very sturdy "inherited" two grandkids and added extra beds so we could stay in our home. ThanksIt is a nice looking bed set, girls loved it, sturdy, the top sways a bit with my 6 yr. old on top, she weighs about 70 lbs. loves the way the ladder has no top bar to climb over, the other bunk bed has a round metal bar, about 4"? thick, and her legs are being killed with it.Bought this to replace old bunk bed with futom bottom. Son is 200 lbs and no squeaks. Not even when hes climbing bed. Found this while searching for heavy duty bunk bedsI bought this 3 months ago and the weld for the top guard rail literally snapped. It took a bit of time but the company did reach out to me and send a replacement frame. So while I'm disappointed in the frame itself, kudos for good customer service. This bunk bed is is amazing. The most bang for your buck in regards to price, size, comfort, functionality, ease of set up, sturdiness, you name it. I wish I could go back in time and have ordered this one a few years ago.Didn't take long to set up, all pieces labeled well, the only thing I would potentially mark as something to improve is the rungs on the ladder, the edge of them are not molded well/are sharp. Easy fix for us, but by fixing you lose some of the finish color. There were also a few pieces of the frame that had some bang ups in the frame, however realistically the kids are going to try their best to destroy this anyways, so no harm no foul.Let me opine on some of the negative and positive comments.1) Assembly; Took about 1hr to put together with myself and one fairly tool savvy 15 yo. Hint: pay attention to leaving the bolts loose until the end. Some threading needed to be carefully done as the threads in some cases are not precision. Comes with all tools needed. Instructions easy to follow.2) Function; it’s for teenagers at most. Don’t be planning to use this at the hunting cabin for Big Bob. And regular sized teens. It is sturdy but not heavy duty and it does wobble. Would need some cross bracing to tighten it up.3) Durability; we bought it to furnish a temporary apartment while our home is under renovations. This is not a heritage piece of furniture. If it lasts a year I would be amazed. But short term use or occasional needs - not bad. As long as there is no horse play.Overall: happy. Can see how things would come out otherwise. My kids really wanted bunk beds so I got these ones and cause the price was reasonable.I put the frame together myself and followed all directions. When I was finished , I put the mattresses in and the kids went on them.. and it looked like they were rocking and swaying everywhere. The beds are not solidly built and don't seem sturdy at all. I sat on the bottom with my child and the other child was moving on the top bunk causing the whole bed to wobble wildly dispite the beds being against the wall, felt like being on a boat!Got what I paid for I guess.Buyer beware..Not worth the box they came in. We got these beds in November. We are now April and we need to replace the beds completely. The metal these beds are made with is so thin that it bends and breaks at nothing. First a railing of a top bunk (we bought two sets of bunk beds) snapped right off as my son was trying to come down. He fell and hurt himself. Then pieces of the beds (parts of the sides, head board and foot boards) started snapping old as I was washing them or simply making beds. Finally, the screws started to come loose. My husband is an excellent welder/assembler. He put everything together correctly. Now as I am taking apart the beds, I have noticed that all the metal support bars are bent and we’re snapping apart. For reference my children are 7, 5 and 3 - nowhere near the weight limits for these beds. The heaviest person to lie in the beds was my 120lbs 17yr old. Also as I was taking apart the bunk beds I came to the realization that the top bunk was holding on by the Grace of God. These beds could have killed my children. Do not buy these they are not even worth the box they came inWe bough this bunk bed unit for our grandsons who are 3 and 6, as they will soon been sharing a room when baby # 3 comes along. The assembly was very easy with good instructions. They look so nice in the room. The room is small and this unit does not take up a lot of space which is what we were looking for. They have only been set for about 3 weeks now, but so far so good. They are not meant for adult weight, so if only used by kids it should be fine. If you decide to purchase this unit, I think you will be pleased. (Goes together so much easier than anything you will buy from Ikea).
