We had been looking for a loftbed for awhile for our 12 year old. I knew I wanted a wooden one for sturdiness. I also had read many reviews of the metals ones that the ladder bars hurt the feet. I didn't want to have to add pool noodles to her bed and make her room look tacky. This bed has been the perfect purchase for her room! The ladder steps are comfortable to climb, and the bed is SUPER sturdy. We didn't even secure it to the wall. It's a perfect height where she can sit on her bed and her head doesn't hit the ceiling, but she can comfortable go under the bed to her desk without hitting her head. We have been really happy with this purchase and will be buying at least 1 more for another one of our kids!I needed a bed that I would be able to put in my office that it's like a bunk bed where I could have my computer and my desk on bottom as well as a bed on top so the item came the packing is not the best because it's not so expensive item so you kind of get what you paid for so one of the pieces cracked but because I had a special wood glue I just glued the pieces together and fixed it so it's all working good I put it up and I have it ready like this for a long time as well as Amazon also offered to replace the whole bed meaning if I would want to just take it apart send them the bed or they will even pick it up give me a new one but I wasn't interested in taking it fully apart so just gave me a compensation but overall it takes a decent amount of time to assemble as for its quality and stuff it's pretty good it's looks a drop smaller but it's the same size as a regular bed so meaning a regular mattress would fit on does not need to be like a kitty bed or anything like that so it does the job for me...Pro's:Small packagingA decent amount of time to assemble and easy instructionsFits well same size as the average bedThe ladder is pretty simple and sturdyGreat look color and styleNot so heavy but sturdy and adorable enough...And for a good price and fast shippingCons:Items packaging is not the best so the item came crackedYou are paying for what you getting meaning it does the job decent style and stuff but the wood material is what you're getting for the priceInstructions are easy to use it's just a lot of parts to put together so it does take time and I would recommend taking two or three people to build it togetherOne of the things that you can see in the picture is that the pieces that are meant to hold up the mattress you want to put it in 12 ince apart and make sure that they're very good and in the right place and strong so what I did is I just used a regular ruler that does not come with started from one end and then just continue working my way down and just screwing it in as I went...But overall does the job and am happy with itThis bed is perfect for what I needed. I was nervous, but the queen bed does fit underneath between the ladder and the footboard. The ladder is accessible and both kids are happy. Also very sturdy. I Would recommend having at-least three human to get pieces together a lot easier.Solid piece once assembled!Random spacing tool with no instructions, only realized it's purpose AFTER all the planks were put in...Great bed- but some of the wood was broken when we opened it up. The small groove where the headboard fits in was broken on the top and bottom. This could potentially make the headboard not secure. We used wood glue to put it back together- looks ok now but I question how secure it really is when my child leans back on it. Seller contacted about this.The bed was easy enough to assemble. The box arrived a little beat up but there was no damage to the frame itself. It did not include instructions. I called customer service and they emailed me a PDF immediately. It is made of real wood and seems pretty sturdy. The reason for 3 stars. The screws that hold up the rail on the top were different sizes and only one of them fit so I had to drill my own wood screws in to hold it up.Been about a year and is still nice a sturdy through the wear and tear of a 5 year old boy. He uses the sides to do pullups and plays on the latter all the time. I assembled it myself but its probably more of a 2 person job. For the price it's a great buy and I believe it will last for years to come.Upon arrival we were missing two parts and the instructions. I hope it doesn't take forever to get replacement parts.
