Well, I kinda knew what I was getting into with this bed. There are so many variations of this bed on so many different sites that it was pretty obvious this was going to be a China product that would have the normal Chinese furniture product issues.First off, OVERALL, this is exactly what is advertised. Everything is sturdy now that it's assembled and despite some of the issues I'll list, the little one this was purchased for absolutely LOVES it. It's been up for about 3 days and I think that slide has been used 100x times already! The issues are minor in the scope of things, but they are worth noting so that you know what you're getting into when buying:1) The instructions are *overall* sufficient, but there are a few times where some clarifications would help keep you from having to disassemble/reassemble when you found that you put a piece on with a hole on the wrong side, or you grab the wrong numbered piece because the numbers are SO small in the instructions. I had to remove and flip two of the main supports AFTER the bed was halfway assembled because I had them turned the opposite way when I put them on, and it wasn't obvious which way they needed attached when I first put it together.2) Mislabeled parts. Some of the parts are EXTREMELY similar, and maybe have one hole different between the two, and are large enough that they can be confused easily. Add in that I had a few pieces that were misnumbered, and the frustration increases exponentially. The main ones that were switched were two of the 4 main supports. One should have been on the side with the ladder, but had the number that was on the other side, and the hole for the side with the ladder wasn't there after 85% of the build was complete. At that point I was NOT taking out two completely opposite supports and swapping them. Thankfully that particular hole was not load bearing, it was just for one of the decorative pieces, so it didn't really affect anything.3) 2 holes didn't line up properly. This didn't end up being too big of an issue, I was able to loosen some bolts and force them to line up, but it seems like they were about 1/16th to 3/16th of an inch off, which made those two bolts challenging4) 2 holes were completely missing. These were completely decorative pieces that had enough support from other bolts so this didn't bother me at all5) One of the connecting threads for one of the crossmembers apparently had burrs in it or wasn't completely threaded, as when I was putting one of the main support bolts in, it got stuck, and with the quality of the bolts that come with it, I stripped the head of the bolt by trying to use the allen wrench to get it to go further in. Thankfully, that particular bolt is covered by the steps that came with this, but how in the world I was able to get the bolt stuck and then strip it with using a manual allen wrench is beyond me.6) The process to put the mattress rods in was probably the most annoying aspect of the whole build. Of course, I was building this by myself, so maybe with a second person it wouldn't have been so bad, but keeping everything lined up with 9 rods that don't connect to anything on either side was a bit much. So, if you read through that whole thing, it may sound like it was a nightmare, it wasn't. But, there is a chance that one of those holes that they forget to drill might be a major support bolt, or one of those stripped out bolts that won't go all the way in might be where a kid needs to sit down to go down the slide, or the misnumbered parts may cause bigger issues.... Thankfully for me I was able to get through all of the issues without causing issues with the sturdiness, so I'm happy with the purchase.I went through dozens of triple bunkbeds information before settling on this one and I am convinced no other bed would have fit as great as this one does. We did have 2 twin beds in this room, converted randomly into twin over twin bunks, and this bed STILL has more room in this room than those did. Our ceilings are of normal height so we needed one that would still allow enough room above for our 10 and 7 yr old to be comfortable, we use the bottom bunk for a 3 yr old. The bottom bunk is pretty low to the ground which is great for our little guy, but not on the floor which is great for us.The only 'complaint' is that other bunks had some type of bar/board to separate the upper bunks and this one does not. That has led to random limbs getting stuck during sleep (gap shown in pictures) we plan to put something there to lessen that issue though. The bed is ridiculously sturdy, I've had to slide it a few times because we are remodeling that room, it's definitely not easy to move during that or from kids shuffling around like crazies on it.The 2 "wood" panels on the top bunks did come slightly damaged. The material is like a plastic fake wood cover and it was peeled back in some spots but thankfully it was only one one side so we just flipped it to the non-damaged side.I'm not sure how anyone has put this bed together alone either. Definitely a 2 man job and a few hours of work but we'll worth it.I’m no stranger to furniture assembly, so I can easily say this was the most difficult assembly bar none.Several of our pieces were mislabeled, which we unfortunately didn’t realize until well into the build. There were holes not completely drilled and, a first for me, washers that hadn’t been properly stamped out. There were also a variety of washer sizes even though we only required one particular size. The instructions were not clear for how crucial having the correct pieces in the correct position is.Thankfully, my husband is an engineer and between the two of us we were able to salvage the bed and make it safe for our kids. But I definitely wouldn’t recommend this particular bunk bed to anyone I like.Need 2 people to assemble. Not terribly difficult to do but make sure to check piece number with pictures because I just assumed pieces were labeled correctly and we had to basically restart when trying to connect the 2 bunks together to correct the error. That is really my only complaint about these beds. They work perfectly for my 4 girls. It was very hard to put together, but once done it is very sturdy and looks great. Now my son just won’t leave his roomThis bed is great so far but it has a few issues. The one twin bed has an opening and the other doesn’t. We don’t really like that it doesn’t have two openings. It’s kinda shaky. Other wise it’s great and we are loving it.I have 3 kids in a small room and this bed helped gained them some space. They love it! The instructions for assembly could be better, but we figured it out. It is great for the price!
