Bought this bed for my 3 yr old daughter and her first “big girl bed experience”. I am usually pretty savvy with flat pack furniture but parts of this bed gave me a run for my money.Overall I think I’m satisfied with the purchase but there are a few pros and cons.Pros:-Came ahead of schedule-cute style-decent instructionsCons:-some screws were so difficult to tighten (ended up stripping a few, using the company’s provided Allen wrench)-paint is see-through in some parts (scratches and chips pretty easily and came with a few knicks and dings)-the slide is extremely slick and in my opinion, a little steep (currently brainstorming ways to make it a little safer, my daughter tried it a few times and each time she came shooting off of it like a rocket)-wood is a little flimsy, not as sturdy/ heavy as I expected.Overall, it’s about what I expected for the price. I wish the slide was a little less steep and I wish the bed was overall a little heavier/ sturdier. However, it is definitely cute and stylish, looks pretty spot on to the pictures and my daughter loves it so far! Will try to update on how it holds up over time!Put it together in about 2 hours by myself. Easy to follow instructions. Everything came very well marked. There was a parts list for each box so it was easy to locate. It also came with 2 instruction books in case you need a second to look at parts in one and the step in the other. Super durable and solid. My kids love it and it is so cute. The only thing I would suggest is using a power drill instead of a screwdriver to save yourself time and sore hands. It took about an hour to put it together with a screw gun. It’s very cute and the kids love the slides! This “low bunk” is completely unusable, the lower bunk had approximately two feet of space once the mattress was put in. If using this as one bed with storage space underneath it would be perfectly fine but it’s outrageous to call this a bunk bed for people needing two sleeping spaces.
